Minor accident turns into drug charge for Fox Valley woman

BIG DROP – What started as a minor vehicle accident on Saturday night turned into an arrest alleging multiple drug offences, after one of the drivers was found in a nearby house trying to avoid police.

The woman, who police have identified as a 30-year-old Fox Valley resident, will likely face multiple charges, as well as two traffic tickets stemming from the crash on Interstate 41 and Lynndale Drive.

The woman is in custody for a violation of probation; Police say they will recommend charges of burglary, possession of narcotics, possession of prescription drugs without a valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.

Grand Chute Police Lt. James Shepherd said witnesses reported a woman fled the scene moments after the crash. Shortly after, another person reported that a woman entered a home around 6 p.m. in the 3900 block of North Fox Glove Lane.

Shepherd said deputies found a woman at home. Deputies said she was driving the vehicle that caused the original crash.
